PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- James A. Welker, 71, of Perryville died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born April 8, 1929, in Perry County, son of Joseph A. and Anna Buchheit Welker. He and Rose M. Weinrich were married Jan. 28, 1950.
Welker was a service technician at Robinson Heating and Cooling. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek and its Men's Sodality.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kerry Welker of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Patricia Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; two brothers, Francis and Donald Welker of Perryville; three sisters, Margaret Wibbenmeyer, Dorothy Versheldon and Helen Buerck, all of Perryville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Mark Bozada officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
