DONGOLA, Ill. -- James J. Weimer, 69, of Dongola died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, at his home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1928, in St. Paul, Pa., son of Walter Milton and Lyna Woods Weimer. He and Claudene Holdman were married Oct. 9, 1953. She died June 13, 1985. He and Annette Holdman Eaton were married in 1998.
Weimer worked at General Motors in Pontiac, Mich., 30 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 653.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Hauser of Oakland, Md.; stepmother, Margaret Weimer of Fair Chance, Pa.; three half brothers, Donald Weimer of Elephant Furnace, Pa., Thomas Weimer of West Leisenring, Pa., Paul Weimer of Pataskala, Ohio; a half sister, Beulah Brady of Myron, Mich.; and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-9 p.m. today, and Thursday until service time.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Terbrak officiating. Burial will be in McGinnis Cemetery.
