James W. Winder, 47, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, March 5, 1993, at his home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 10, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert and Nettie Niswonger Winder.
Winder had worked at Good Year Rubber Plant in North Chicago. He was a veteran in the Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the AmVets at Round lake, Ill.
He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his mother, Nettie Winder of Jackson; five sons, Leslie W. Winder and Jimmy Winder, both of Round Lake, Skip A. Seger of Round Lake, Tony Seger and Stephen Seger, both of Lake Villa, Ill.; three daughters, Tammy Hansen and Tina Taylor, both of Mauston, Wis., and Patricia Winder of Lake Geneva , Wis.; four brothers, Earl Winder, Osage Beach, Mo., Robert Winder of Perryville, Paul Winder of Hillsboro, and Charles Winder, of Oak Ridge; two sisters, Patsy Green, Advance, and Peggy Niswonger, Scott City; and 21 grandchildren,
Service will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Interment will be in Lorimier Cemetery. VFW Post 3838 will provide military rites.
Friends may call Monday at the funeral home from to 4 to 8 p.m.
