EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for James William Moore of East Prairie was held Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Revs. George White and Lewis Stone officiated, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Moore, 79, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Hardin County, Ky., son of James Walter and Caldonia Pryer Wilson Moore. He and Maggie Lee Marshall were married July 23, 1938.
Moore was a retired farmer, and member of First Baptist Church here.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, James, Samual and Robert Moore of East Prairie; two daughters, Linda Boyer and Shirley McClendon of East Prairie; two brothers, Anderson and Walter Moore of East Prairie; three sisters, Mamie Hendrix of Morley, Mattie Williams of Waterloo, Ill., Ressie Hendrix of East Prairie; 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
