James Westele "Bud" Hoover, 67, of Elkland, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1993, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield.
He was born Jan. 10, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, son of William M. and Annie Jane Lincoln Hoover. He and Naomi Dean Moore were married in November 1948, in Cape Girardeau.
Hoover moved to Elkland four years ago from Kansas City, Kan. He worked on cars most of his life, and was a member of AmVets Post 117 in Buffalo.
Survivors include three sons, Dekin Hoover of Elkland, Joe Hoover of Springfield, Randy Hoover of state of Nevada; two daughters, Robin Gilmore of Long Lane, Sherry Maggard of Elkland; two brothers, Bo Hoover of St. Louis, Norman Hoover of McClure, Ill.; two sisters, Evelyn Jones and Myrtle Bequett of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Cantlon Chapel in Buffalo. The Rev. Dennis Skinner will officiate, with burial in Liberty Cemetery.
