James Vogelsang

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- James "Jim" Vogelsang, 76, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, with his wife and daughter by his side, at his home in Bozeman, following a two-year battle with cancer.

Jim was born Dec 6, 1944, in Cape Girardeau to Erwin and Golda Vogelsang. Jim married Patricia Wright on April 27, 1973, in Cape Girardeau.

He spent most of his life in Cape Girardeau until 2016, when he and Pat moved to Bozeman to be closer to their daughter and her family.

Jim enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his grandkids, who affectionately called him G-Dad.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Vogelsang; daughter, Kara (Mike) Albrecht; twin sister, Jane (Terry) Schuetz; and grandchildren, Addison, Nolan and Alice Albrecht.

He was preceded in death by his parents and aunt, Mildred Vogelsang.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Gallatin Valley Lutheran Fellowship in Belgrade, Montana. The service will webcast at facebook.com/Gallatin-Valley-Lutheran-Fellowship-101795991758696.
