James "Jim" Albert Turnbough, 68, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at his home. He was born Aug. 6, 1954, in Perryville, Missouri, son of Arthur and Evelyn Eichorn Turnbough. James "Jim" Albert Turnbough, 68, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at his home.

He was born Aug. 6, 1954, in Perryville, Missouri, son of Arthur and Evelyn Eichorn Turnbough.

Jim was a 1972 graduate of Perryville High School. He worked for Central Packing in Cape Girardeau and Fruitland Dressed Meats, and then he began his own timber business, Highland Timber Co. in Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Evie of Jackson; Jim's three children, Kyle Turnbough of Old Appleton, Kayla (Daniel) Clauss of St. Louis and Kendra Turnbough of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren, Adison, Jameson, Alison and Emerson Clauss; three sisters, Bonnie (Neil) Geringer of Perryville, Mary Ann Zoellner of Jackson and Joyce Reimer of Perryville; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Turnbough of Perryville.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Glen (Anna Dean) Turnbough and Kenneth Turnbough; and three sisters, Brenda Sue Turnbough, Carol Wahlers and Janet (Clarence "Bobby") Meyer.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to American Heart Association.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
