James L. Trickey II, 43, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at his home.
He was born March 29, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, the son of James Lynn and Karen Sue (Rice) Trickey Sr. He was married to Brandy Nichole Lukow May 24, 2003, in Cape Girardeau.
He graduated Cape Central High School in 1983 and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He was building inspector for the city of Jackson; prior to that he worked in construction. He received several awards from the ALS chapter of St. Louis and the MDA chapter of Cape Girardeau for his services. He was affiliated with La Croix Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brandy Nichole (Lukow) Trickey of Cape Girardeau, his father, James Lynn Trickey Sr. and his wife Tina of Cape Girardeau, his mother, Karen Sue (Rice) Mogelnicki, her husband, Tom of Cape Girardeau, a stepson, Gage Shipman and a stepdaughter Greta Shipman, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Gracen Trickey of Cape Girardeau, a brother, Jason Trickey and his wife Sarah of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandmother, Sarah Rice of Cape Girardeau; paternal grandmother, Fern Trickey of Cape Girardeau; and a niece, Alexis Trickey of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Richard Rice and paternal grandfather, Jack Claude Trickey.
Visitation will be at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at La Croix United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Rob Mehner officiating. Entombment will be at the Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
