DEXTER, Mo. -- James Dallas Teel, 69, of Chandler, Okla., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at Stroud Regional Medical Center in Stroud, Okla. DEXTER, Mo. -- James Dallas Teel, 69, of Chandler, Okla., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at Stroud Regional Medical Center in Stroud, Okla.

He was born July 18, 1932, in Randles, Mo., son of Wesley E. and Arcadia Alice Crow Teel. He and Sherrill Nussbaum were married April 3, 1959, at Hornersville, Mo.

Teel retired as farm manager with E.B. Gee Farms and Cotton Gin in Parma, Mo., and had worked at Mahan Cotton Gin.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He lived in Parma, Florida and Texas before moving to Oklahoma in 1977.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Teel of Edmond, Okla.; a daughter, Arcadia "Katie" Sloan of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sisters, Jessie Kovaleski and Emma Posk of Marysville, Calif., Virginia Teel of Minneapolis, Kan.; a brother, Ottis Teel of Canon City, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bernie Cemetery in Bernie. The Rev. Robert Martin will officiate.
