ANNA, Ill. -- James C. Stegle, 81, of Anna died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at City Care Center. He was born March 11, 1926, in Cobden, Ill., son of Jim and Lona Kerr Stegle. He and Betty M. Murray were married Oct. 6, 1955, in Murphysboro, Ill. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Stegle of Anna, Michael Stegle of Jonesboro, Ill.; two daughters, Kathy Stegle and Karen Sadler of Anna; a brother, Robert Stegle of Manteno, Ill.; a sister, Martha Burris of St. ...

ANNA, Ill. -- James C. Stegle, 81, of Anna died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at City Care Center.

He was born March 11, 1926, in Cobden, Ill., son of Jim and Lona Kerr Stegle. He and Betty M. Murray were married Oct. 6, 1955, in Murphysboro, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Stegle of Anna, Michael Stegle of Jonesboro, Ill.; two daughters, Kathy Stegle and Karen Sadler of Anna; a brother, Robert Stegle of Manteno, Ill.; a sister, Martha Burris of St. Charles, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a sister and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Eidson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Cobden.
