JACKSON, Mo. -- James A. Stause, 75, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born May 24, 1926, at Glennon, Mo., the son of Hubert and Mayme Beel Stause.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Jackson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Stause of Jackson and Joe Stause of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Clarence Stause of Leopold, Mo., Alvin Stause of Marble Hill, Mo., and Norman Stause of Dexter, Mo.; three sisters, Marie Hinkebein and Ella Elfrink of Jackson, and Margie Klipfel of New Hamburg, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish prayers and a Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church at Glennon, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
