PERKINS, Mo. -- James Truman "Jim" Senciboy Sr., 66, of Perkins passed away after a 15-month battle with lung cancer Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015.

Jim was born in Cape Girardeau on Oct. 1, 1948. He was the first of three sons to Truman and Christine Ann Scheffer Senciboy.

Jim was a veteran of the United States Army and participated in action during the Vietnam War. His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him five medals of honor. He returned from war and married his high-school sweetheart, Doris Ann Seabaugh, on April 24, 1971. He enjoyed farming with his father for many years. Jim was the sales manager for Griffin Enterprises in Advance, Missouri, for the past 28 years.

Jim leaves behind his wife, Doris Ann Senciboy of Perkins; a daughter, Dr. Donna Nicole Senciboy of St. Louis; and two brothers, Bill Senciboy of Perkins and Tom Senciboy of Oran, Missouri.

Jim was preceded in death by his son, James Truman Senciboy Jr.; parents, Truman and Christine Senciboy; and a sister-in-law, Rita Senciboy.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins, with full military honors presented by the Missouri Honor Guard.
