James "Jim" Lynn Seabaugh, age 59, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at his home. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at Cape County Memorial Park with the Rev. Zachary Strong officiating. McCombs Funeral Home of Cape Girar-deau is in charge of arrangements...

James "Jim" Lynn Seabaugh, age 59, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at his home.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at Cape County Memorial Park with the Rev. Zachary Strong officiating. McCombs Funeral Home of Cape Girar-deau is in charge of arrangements.

Jim was born May 26, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Virgil and Maggie Seabaugh. He and June Siemers Swift were united in marriage on May 30, 1997.

Loving survivors include his wife; two stepsons and their wives, Craig and Kay Riek of Cape Girardeau and Curt and Maghen Riek of Ste. Genevieve; three granddaughters, Madison Riek, Macy Riek and Abbi Riek; two brothers, Don Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau and Lonnie Seabaugh of Haslet, Texas, and their wives, Carolyn and Alice; a sister, Linda Morris of Cape and her husband, Johnny; a nephew, Donnie Seabaugh of Kansas City, Mo.; two nieces, Gina Smith and Dara Day Amos of Cape Girardeau; three great nephews, Ben and Landon Seabaugh and Shawn Amos; and one great niece, Emily Amos.

Jim was a graduate of Central High School. He was a Green Beret in the U.S. Army and served in Okinawa, Japan.

Jim was employed by Central Packing Company, worked as a car salesman, and a funeral director. For years Jim sang in a Southern gospel quartet, the Singing Faithmen. He had also been active in several Baptist churches in the area.
