GRASSY, Mo. -- James O. Rogers, 65, of Grassy died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born June 1, 1938, at DeSoto, Mo., son of Earl and Blanche Venable Rogers. He and Linda Gorse Yount were married July 17, 2000.
Rogers was a member of VFW Post 3777, American Legion Post 253, Voiture 13/21, and the Masonic Lodge. He was a life scout with Boy Scouts.
Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Darrell Yount of St. Mary, Mo., Marshall Yount of Arnold, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Laura Kellett of Jackson; a brother, Samuel Rogers of Crystal City, Mo.; a sister, Betsy Tanner of Jackson, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Glenallen United Methodist Church in Glenallen, Mo., with Pastor Mike Kelpe officiating. Military and Masonic services will be conducted. Burial will be in Glenallen Cemetery.
Follis and Sons Funeral Home at Fredericktown, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
