Funeral service for James Russell Dean, 1242 Sailer Circle, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Charles Dreyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
There is no visitation.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Dean, 90, died Thursday, March 16, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Sept. 8, 1904, in Ava, Ill., son of Homer K. and Carrie Russell Dean. He and Millicent Mueller were married Oct. 6, 1931, in Jackson. She died Nov. 26, 1994.
Dean moved to Cape Girardeau from Ava in 1931. He owned and operated Pure Ice Co. here many years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and SEMO Boosters. He attended the University of Illinois.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Timmons of St. Charles and Millicent Dean of Cape Girardeau.
