MOREHOUSE -- James H. Plunk, 68, of Morehouse died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Dec. 4, 1928, in Adamsville, Tenn., the son of William Rufe and Jesse Franklin Gladdish Plunk. On Aug. 13, 1955, he married Anna L. Andrews in Hernando, Miss.

He belonged to Laborers Local Union 1104 in Cape Girardeau and worked in building and highway construction.

He was of Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Greg Plunk of Sikeston; a brother, Roscoe Plunk of Crump, Tenn; three sisters, Rea Gillean of Tell City, Ind., Viola Boutwell of Sikeston and Leora Adams of Anniston, Mo., and a grandson.

Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call after noon Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Billie Butler officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
