James Clayton Pinkerton, 69, of O'Fallon, Mo., died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his home.
He was born June 2, 1942, at Neelys Landing to Charles William and Hallie Lillian Rumfelt Pinkerton. He married Aggie Tant in May 1977.
James was an extruder operator and a supervisor for Print-Pack in Hazelwood, Mo.
He was a member of High Hill Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Aggie Pinkerton of O'Fallon; four daughters, Paula (Tim) Pickens of Jackson, Lisa (John) Garamello of Huntsville, Ala., Cecilia (Kirk) Moore of St. Charles, Mo., Sheila Thomas of Bridgeport, Ala.; four brothers, Elmer (Mary) Pinkerton of Pocahontas, Ed (Sharon) Pinkerton of Jackson, Kenny (Kathy) Pinkerton of Chaffee, Mo., John Pinkerton of Jackson; three sisters, Ruth (LeLand) Miller of Hazelwood, Mo., Janice (Clyde) Reames of West Plains, Rosie (Steve) Ralston of Fayetteville, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey and Michael; one brother, Benjamin Robert; three sisters, Mary, Martha, Roxcine; and one grandson, Jeremy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in High Hill Cemetery near Neelys Landing.
