MANCHESTER, Tenn. -- James Lawson Phillips, 79, of Manchester died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at St. Thomas Hospital.
He was born April 9, 1926, in Osceola, Ark. He was a member of the Flintville Church of Christ and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel; four sons, James Phillips Jr. of Waggoner, Okla., Ronnie Phillips of Jonesboro, Ill., Donnie Phillips of Scott City, Stan Phillips of Manchester; three daughters, Era Mae Morgan of Collinsville, Okla., Mary Ann Butler of Tulsa, Okla., Debra Phillips of Manchester; a sister, Arlene Hall of Okolona, Miss.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Coffee County Funeral Chapel in Manchester.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Manchester City Cemetery.
