James H. Pettigrew, 48 of Cape Girardeau, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Southeast Hospital.
James was born on Oct. 20, 1970, in Parsons, Tennessee, the son of James and Mary King Pettigrew.
He was a graduate of Riverside High School. He worked for years at Shoney's and the old Holiday Inn in food service.
James is survived by his loving family, two daughters, Chasity and Ariel Pettigrew of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Shaquel, Keylon and Jueilis Pettigrew of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Mary Gregory of Whitewater; a brother, Alonzo Brian Pettigrew of Lexington, Tennessee; two sisters, K.C. Williams and Tiffany Pettigrew, both of Lexington, Tennessee; five grandchildren; loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and three stepchildren, Manuel Hayward, Cudeirdre Hayward and Angie Tubb.
He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Pettigrew; grandparents, J.L. and Zenobia Pettigrew and Harlis and Willa Mae King; and grandson, J.J. Gray
Funeral and burial will be in Parsons, Tennessee.
