SIKESTON -- Graveside service for James W. Payne of Sikeston was held Friday at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter. Pat Hogan officiated.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Payne, 58, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 12, 1941, in Essex, son of Webster and Syble Eaton Payne. He and Maria Ingolia were married Feb. 15, 1987, in Peoria, Ill.
Payne was an assembly line worker 29 years at Caterpillar in East Peoria, Ill.
Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Freddie Payne of Bloomington, Ill., Troy Payne of Hendersonville, Tenn., Joe Payne of Tempe, Ariz.; a sister, Betty Duncan of Leroy, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
