James Edward Palmer, 86, of Jackson passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1936, in Chaffee, Missouri, to the late George and Audi Hogan Palmer.
James served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He owned and operated Uncle Ralph's Furniture Store.
Loving survivors include his wife, Emma Palmer, and son, Harold (Ronda) Palmer, all of Jackson; grandsons, Michael of Arizona and Ryan of Whitewater.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary "Max" Palmer.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Lessley Ridge Cemetery near Marble Hill, Missouri.
Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau was entrusted with cremation services.
