James Louis Morrow, 96, passed away Dec. 1, 2000, at the Lutheran Home.
Visitation will be Sunday, noon to 1 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Mr. Morrow was born March 21, 1904, in Meridian, Miss. He moved to Cape Girardeau as a young man and lived here all his adult life.
He married Viola Goss in 1927. They had one son, Jimmy Louis Morrow, who is now deceased.
Mr. Morrow worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory until retirement, and then worked for Cape Girardeau Public School System.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mr. Morrow is survived by his wife, Viola, of the home; a sister, Bessie Harvey of Meridian; two granddaughters, Catherine Morrow Jarrell of Leawood, Kan., Susan Elise Amelunke of Piedmont, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Michael Amelunke; and many other family members and friends.
The family requests memorials be given to First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
