SIKESTON -- Graveside service for James Mays of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Rev. Pat Hogan will officiate.

Mays, 67, died Thursday, July 4, 1996, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Marion County, Ala., son of W.W. and Autie Chastain Mays.

Mays was a manager with Kentucky Fried Chicken. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include a son, James Mays of Freeport, Texas; two daughters, Shirley Johannesen of Catoosa, Okla., Jean Hills of Claremore, Okla.; two sisters, Jean Blankenship of Monett, Ann Leatherwood of Memphis, Tenn., and five grandchildren.
