JAMES MANSFIELD

ESSEX -- Funeral for James Henry Mansfield of Essex will be held at 10 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Mike Johnson and Burl Britt will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Mansfield, 83, died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

He was born Dec. 9, 1915, in Mississippi County, son of Floyd and Iza Mansfield. He and Artie Williams were married May 1, 1943, at New Madrid.

Mansfield was a retired farmer. He had lived in Essex the past 10 years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Mansfield of Jackson, Ray Mansfield of Sikeston; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
