JACKSON -- James "Jim" Malone, 72, of Jackson died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 10, 1926, at Dyer County, Tenn., son of James and Earl Burnes Malone. He and Mildred "Millie" Goodrum were married Jan. 18, 1947.
Malone had worked as manager at Griffin Wheel Co. for more than 30 years, retiring in 1985. He moved to Jackson in 1987 and was a member of the Kimbeland Country Club and West Park Lanes Senior Bowling League. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rich Malone of Wildwood; a daughter, Donna Thornhill of St. Peters, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and infant son.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, with the Rev. Ric Zuch officiating.
