EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for James M. "Bud" Johnson of East Prairie will be held at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. Bill Adkisson will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Johnson, 60, died Saturday, March 5, 1994, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, from burns received in a house fire.
He was born May 17, 1933, near East Prairie, son of Garland B. and Rosie B. Walker Johnson.
Johnson was retired from McTigue Ready Mix. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include a daughter, Jonnie Johnson of East Prairie; his mother of East Prairie; a brother, Shirley Johnson of Overland; four sisters, Christine Foster of Hattiesburg, Miss., Florine Johnson of St. Peters, Dorothy High of Overland, Velma Ogle of St. Louis, and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
