JACKSON - James Leonard Johnson, of 1109 Corrine, died Saturday, June 1, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was 83.
He was born June 19, 1907, in Newton County, the son of John Louis and Effie Miller Johnson. His parents preceded him in death.
He married Mildred Cook on Aug. 21, 1933. She survives.
Johnson farmed his entire life until retiring.
Surviving are a son, Bob Johnson of Jackson; two daughters, Mary Dean Wilheit of Cape Girardeau and Betty Crites of Bloomington, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Visitation will be held today at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
