ADVANCE -- James Lawrence Neal, 72, of Advance, died Thursday, June 24, 1993, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was the son of Matthew H. Neal and Elsie Mae Bailey Neal Johnson.
He married Mabel Looney, Aug. 16, 1952, at East St Louis, Ill.
Neal worked as a glass blower for the Chattanooga Glass Co., in Mineral Wells, Miss., from 1945 until his retirement in 1980.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945.
Survivors include his mother, of Advance; his wife, of Advance; a son, James L. Neal of Waterloo, Ill.; two daughters, Carolyn Cote of Holly Oak, Mass., and Jeanene Miller of Alton, Ill.; a brother, Thomas Neal of Ste. Genevieve; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Rev. Arvil Huffman officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Bell City, Mo.
