SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- James D. Jones, 62, of Sedgewickville passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 19, 1946, in Rector, Ark., son of James Elmer and Carrie Adkison Jones. He and Sharon Seabaugh were married May 17, 1991, at Sargent's Chapel Church in Sedgewickville.
Jones was retired from Local 562 pipe fitters and was of the Lutheran belief. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of Sedgewickville; a daughter, Elizabeth Jones of Sedgewickville; two brothers, Kenneth Jones of Birmingham, Ala., Gary Jones of Alabama; and a sister, Karen Faulkner of Paragould, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Sargent's Chapel Cemetery near Sedgewickville, with the Rev. Jerry Bailey officiating. Full military rights will be provided by Missouri Honors Team.
