SIKESTON, Mo. -- James L. "Buster" Hensley, 70, of Imperial, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis. SIKESTON, Mo. -- James L. "Buster" Hensley, 70, of Imperial, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born April 10, 1930, at Caruthersville, Mo., son of Elmer Clinton and Ida Estell Curtis Hensley. He and Helen T. Hensley were married Sept. 3, 1988, at Brentwood, Mo.

Hensley was a bench hand at Standard Artificial Limb. He lived in the Sikeston area most of his life.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Hensley of Marietta, Ga.; a daughter, Debra Edwards of Arnold, Mo.; a stepson, Lincoln Ide of St. Louis; three stepdaughters, Therese Bremer of Cleveland, Ohio, Carol Ide of Cape Girdeau, Mary Ide of Jackson, Mo.; a sister, Barbara Shaw of Sikeston; 13 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley, Mo.
