James "Jim" Haskett, 56, of Boise, Idaho, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in Boise.
He was born March 2, 1942, in Kokomo, Ind., son of John and Helen Buscher Haskett. He and Martha Brooks Vandivort were married April 4, 1970, in Cape Girardeau.
Haskett attended Indiana University, and received a doctorate degree in physics.
He taught at Indiana University and Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash. He was director of information technology at Boise State University.
Survivors include his wife; his parents of Kokomo; a brother, Richard Haskett of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Becky Ridenour of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Tereso Coy of South Bend, Ind.
A memorial service will be held Feb. 22 at Boise State University.
Another memorial service will be held July 4 at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. Ford and Sons Funeral Home will assist with arrangements.
