PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- James P. Grindstaff, 86, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 23, 1918, in Patton, Mo., son of H.M. and Rosa O. Reagan Grindstaff. He married Janice C. Coker on Jan 23, 1942. She preceded him in death on June 25, 1988.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during World War II serving 39 months. He was an auto body repairman and was a member of First Baptist Church in Perryville.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Scott of Perryville; two sisters, Mae Venile of Afton, Mo., Maude Hahn of St. Louis, Mo.; a grandson; and three great-grandsons.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today or from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Perry officiating. A military graveside service will be provided by the Delta Team.
Burial will be at the Methodist Cemetery in Patton.
