JAMES G. AUSTIN III

JACKSON -- James G. Austin, 70, of Arnold, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1991, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis County.

He was born Dec. 22, 1920, at Delta, son of James G. and Mary Scheniman Austin II. He and Marianna Shelton were married June 17, 1961.

Austin was a graduate ofDelta High School and Cape Girardeau Business College.

The Austins had lived in the Arnold area 30 yers. He was employed by the U.S. Government Mobility Equipment Command in the St. Louis area, retiring in 1973. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church at Arnold.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Austin IV of Arnold and William Arnold of St. Louis.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Kidwell will officiate, with burial in McLain Cemetery at Oriole.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
