James J. Fullenwider, 71, of Decatur, Ill., died Wednesday, May 8, 1996, at his home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, son of Oscar and Ethel Gale Fullenwider. He and Betty Austine Frierson were married in September 1950. She preceded him in death.
Fullenwider drove a sanitation truck for the city of Cape Girardeau, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, James, Earl, Robert and Ronnie Fullenwider of Decatur; two daughters, Carol Fullenwider of Decatur, Sgt. Connie Baker of Shreveport, La.; two sisters, Mary Horsey and Dorothy Green of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at J.J. Morgan and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home from noon to service time.
