James E. Flowers, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at his home.
He was born Aug. 2, 1929, at Manchester, Mo., son of Arthur and Hattie Maye Lowe Flowers.
Flowers was a river boat pilot 22 years with St. Clair Oil Co., retiring in 1968. He was a member of Faith Baptist Temple.
Survivors include a son, Rickie Flowers of Springfield, Mo.; three daughters, Rebecca Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Lisa Flowers and Carla Barnes of Springfield; a sister, Alva Moore of Advance, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Roley officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery at Advance.
