PERRYVILLE -- James Edward Copen of Perryville died Tuesday, April 20, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was 64.
He was born May 2, 1928, in St. Louis, the son of the late Henry and Stella Griffin Copen.
He married Louise M. Schwartz on Dec. 28, 1968. She survives.
Other survivors include: one son, James Copen of Granite City, Ill.; two daughters, Patricia Hale of Granite City and Vickie Rollet of Perryville; one sister, Marie Parks of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
He was a retired supervisor for Edison Brothers Co., where he worked 32 years. He was a veteran of World War II.
The funeral will be at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville on Thursday at 1 p.m. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday. Burial is in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Gerold McBride will officiate.
