SIKESTON -- James E. Walters, 69, of Sikeston, died Sunday, May 23, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born April 21, 1924, at East Prairie, son of T.H. and Julia Walters. He and the former Julia Riggs were married in 1945.
Walters was retired from the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Walters of Sikeston, Bob Walters of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Brenda Fowler of Sikeston; four brothers, Kenneth and Bill Walters of Sikeston, Joe Walters of Portageville, Richard Walters of East Prairie; five sisters, Nadine Stallings, Evelyn Hyslip, Maxine Talley and Aileen Norman of Sikeston, Bernita Steagell of Las Cruces, N. M., and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. today.
There is no funeral service.
