Sanford, 34, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1993, at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, following an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 25, 1958, in Watseka Ill., son of Rufus Roy and Shirley Sanford.

Sanford was a self-employed interior decorator.

Survivors include three children, Glynise, Benjamin and Amanda Sanford; his parents of Benton; seven brothers, Rufus Sanford of Frohna, Adam Sanford of Scott City, Jerry Sanford of Perryville, Danny Sanford of Benton, Roger, David and Ronald Sanford of Cape Girardeau; seven sisters, Anita Sides of Jackson, Carol Coomer of Shawneetown, Mary Mansker and Lisa Cox of Cape Girardeau, Penny Klingel, Margaret Seiler and Theresa Sanford of Benton.
