JAMES E. HILL

PARMA -- Funeral service for James Ellis Hill of Parma will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter, with the Rev. Bob Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Gardens Cemetery at Poplar Bluff.

Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.

Hill, 69, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1994, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

He was born Sept. 17, 1924, at Parma, son of Jesse Everett and Ruth Ellis Hill. He married Phyllis Smith in 1951 in Piggott, Ark.

Hill was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church and VFW in Poplar Bluff. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita Harrison of Dexter; a sister, Mryle Kreceman of Morristown, Tenn., and two grandchildren.
