SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- James Franklin Dunn, 72, of Sedgewickville died Friday, April 9, 2010, at his home. He was born Oct. 9, 1937, in Egypt Mills, Mo., son of Pierce and Hazel Rehkopf Dunn.
He worked for 23 years in river marine transportation and 12 years for Inland Oil Transportation. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills and was an avid fisherman.
He was a former member of Eagles Aerie 3775 and present member of Eagles Aerie 3319 of Sikeston, Mo.
He is survived by a brother, Jerry Lee (Betty) Dunn of Fruitland; two nieces, Jeri (Cliff) Palmer and Gina Elliott, both of Jackson; a nephew, Darryl (Nicole) Dunn of Millersville; special friend, Muredith Statler of Sedgewickville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kevin Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
