POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- James Felton Dement, 93, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Dement is survived by a son, James (Donna) Dement of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a daughter, Dawn (Dr. Kenneth) Detring of Jackson; and sisters, Verla Warmack and Cleo Boyce of St. Charles, Missouri, and Geraldine Myers of Cahokia, Illinois. He also is survived by five granddaughters, Amanda (Brian) Bonfanti of Wildwood, Missouri, Meredith (Jason) Holt of Jackson, Sarah Detring of Nashville, Tennessee, Dana Dement of Minneapolis and Megan Dement of Tulsa; and three great-grandchildren, Mia and Blake Bonfanti and Ethan Holt.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister and son, David R. Dement.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday at White-Sanders Funeral Chapel in Fisk, Missouri.
The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery with the Veterans Honor Guard conducting the graveside service.
