James "Jim" F. Craiglow, 62, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at Southeast Hospital.

Jim was born July 11, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, son of William and Velma McLard Craiglow. Jim and Marilyn Miller were married June 4, 1992, in Cape Girardeau.

Jim entered the U.S. Air Force on Aug. 21, 1980, and was honorably discharged Aug. 20, 1984, as a senior airman.

Jim was a 1978 graduate of Jackson High School. He was a member of Cape Eagles Auxiliary No. 3775. He worked for Procter & Gamble for 27 years until his retirement. He then owned and operated Jimmy's Discount Dirt and thoroughly enjoyed working with his dump trucks. He had a special interest in investments and the stock market. He enjoyed motorcycles, dogs, gardening and spending time with children, especially his many nieces and nephews. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family

Loving survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of 30 years; two sons, Eric and Alex Craiglow of Cape Girardeau; four siblings, Mary (Lee) Richardson, Susan (Frank) Leadbetter, and Jon (Evelyn Beussink) Craiglow, all of Jackson, and Laurel (Ron) Poston of Cape Girardeau; four brothers-in-law, Larry Miller, Tommy (Anna) Miller, Dennis Miller and Paul Miller, all of Scott City; two sisters-in-law, Carol (John) Fath and Barbara (Jim) Payne, both of Scott City; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Craiglow; brother-in-law, Vincent "Happy" David Miller Jr.; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Miller and Helen Miller.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home. Full military honors will follow at the funeral home. The Rev. Donny Ford will officiate.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to SEMO Pets, formerly known as the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
