MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- James Oliver Crader, 56, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 19, 1946, at Lutesville, Mo., son of Lester W.F. and Marcia Goskie Crader. He and Sylvia Gipson were married May 13, 1988, at Grassy, Mo.

Crader was a former logger. He was a member of First Apostolic Church.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Julie Huffman and Stella Randol of Grassy; John Crader of state of Colorado, Steven and Troy Crader of Marble Hill; two sisters, Betty Shaw of Marble Hill, Patsy Askew of Savannah, Ga.; a brother, Lester Crader Jr. of Marble Hill; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The Marine Corps League's service will be at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Apostolic Church. The Rev. Chuck Newell will officiate. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park with military honors.
