MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- James Counts, 73, of Piedmont, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born March 23, 1933, in Success, Ark., son of Elda and Thelma Powell Counts.
Counts had been a boilermaker at power plants. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Piedmont.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Winingar of Piedmont; two brothers, Von Counts of Marble Hill, Alfred Counts of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A son preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to service time Sunday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Kelpe officiating.
