MOUNDS, Ill. -- James F. "Head" Connell Jr., 82, of Mounds died Friday, May 8, 2015, at his home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo, Illinois. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Church in Cairo, with the Rev. Chris Mujule officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds, with military honors conducted by local veterans and Illinois National Guard.
