SIKESTON -- James Calvin Vinson, 54, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1993, in Dorr, Mich., from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born April 10, 1939, at Charleston, son of George and Rita Sisk Vinson. Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey Hayes of Sikeston, Danny and Eric Vinson of Dorr; four brothers, Tony Vinson of Hiram, Ga., Lawrence and Jesse Vinson of Charleston, Jerry Vinson of East Prairie; four sisters, Bertha Hedge, Ann Hale, Linda Vinson and Donna Jones of Charleston; maternal grandmother, Bertha Sisk of Charleston, and six granddaughters.. ...

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
