James C. Turner, 60, 549 S. Ellis, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 17, 1931, at Poplar Bluff, son of Delmar and Alice Turner. He and Katherine McCutchen were married Jan. 14, 1966, in Cape Girardeau.
Turner moved here in 1964 from Poplar Bluff. He had worked at Westlake Quarry, Werner Plumbing, Borden's Ice Cream, and retired in June 1981 from Delta Asphalt because of ill health. He was a member of Faith Baptist Temple, and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bud Turner of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Margaret McDowell and Rebecca Turner of Cape Girardeau, Debbie Lonell of Troy, Ill.; a brother, Franklin Turner of Troy; a sister, Flora Pickens of Gray Bull, Wyo.; eight grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. J.C. Mattox will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
