CHAFFEE -- Funeral service for James "Hot Dog" Brown of Chaffee will be held at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Harvey Puckett will officiate, with burial in Union Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m.

Brown, 65, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born March 2, 1928, in St. Louis, son of James Edward and Mable Estelle Conley Brown. He and Suedell Puckett were married Feb. 14, 1962.

Brown was a retired dish washer at Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis. He was a member of Chaffee Country CBers Club.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Brown of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Norma Harris of Irving, Texas; a stepson, Michael Borden of Garland, Texas; two stepdaughters, Caroline Snedeker and Paula Miller of Chaffee; a sister, Helen Riley of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
