SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Funeral for James Warner Bray of Ozark was held Monday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Branson, Mo. Burial was in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery at Branson.
Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson was in charge of arrangements.
Bray, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1934, at Scott City (Fornfelt), son of James William and Clara Edmonds Bray. He and Donna Ione Wooley were married July 2, 1954.
Bray was associated with the pulp and paper industry more than 40 years, retiring in 1997 as environmental engineer with Jefferson Smurfit Corp. in Alton, Ill. He invented a process by which pulp could be cleansed of pollutants, and received a patent in 1988.
He was a member of Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Laura Bateman of Warrenton, Mo., Jamie Holland of Ozark; three sons, Chris Bray of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Mike Bray of Nixa, Mo., Tim Bray of Wesley Hills, N.Y.; his mother of Kansas City; two siblings; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter.
