CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Graveside service for James Blanchard of St. Louis will be held at 11 a.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 9-10:30 a.m.
Blanchard, 55, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, in an automobile accident.
He was born April 29, 1945, in Charleston, son of Angelo and Katie Heard Blanchard. He married Deloroes A. "Dee Dee" Rodgers. She died in April 2000.
Blanchard was a graduate of Charleston High School. He was a member of Ecclesia of Christ First Assembly Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include a son, Angelo Blanchard of St. Louis; four brothers, W.C., Ulysses and Melvin Blanchard, all of St. Louis, Mitchell Blanchard of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Ruth Smith and Teresa Simmons of St. Louis, Barbara Walker of Denver, Colo., and Earnestine Clark of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
